FAQ

Is It Safe?
Paintball is one of the safest sports out there (safer than golf!), and we like to keep it this way. We are very strict about our safety rules.
How Much Money Will I Spend?
This depends on a lot of things. How long you play, if you have your own equipment, and how much paint you shoot. If you are new to the sport you will probably need to rent the equipment and usually new players shoot through half a case(1000 paintballs). To get a an idea you can go to our pricing page
How Much Paint Do I Need To Buy?
That depends on you. Some players like to shot a lot of paint and other not too much. A pump player could go through as little as 200 shots in a full day. A real aggressive speedball player with a fast gun could go through 20 times that amount. A hopper holds about 200 shots. Most new players wont go through a full hopper in a game. During woods games one hopper could be good for 3-4 games, depending on your style of play. A case of paint is 2000 rounds.
What Should I Wear?
Old clothing. The paint is soap based and water soluble, but you will get dirty crawling around in the woods or diving into bunkers on the speedball course. Loose fitting, long sleeve, comfortable clothing is best. Bring a sweatshirt as an extra layer if you are really scared of being shot.
Do I Need To Wear Camouflage?
No, any clothing will do. But if you like camouflage you are more then welcome to wear it.
Can I Bring A Camera?
Yes. Video and still cameras are welcome on the field. I would suggest bringing an orange shirt along with you if you plan to take photos on the field.
Can We Bring Beer?
NO! There is absolutely no alcohol or drugs of any kind are allowed on the property.
How Old Do You Have To Be To Play?
Players range in age from 12-100. (You MUST be at least 12 to play at BOLP Paintball. If you are 100, talk to us and you might get a discount.)
Does Being Hit By A Paintball Hurt?
I can't lie. It does sting a little bit, but not for long. It is comparable to being snapped with a towel. When you are playing a game your adrenaline is going and you are so caught up in the moment that you probably wont notice the pain until you exit the field. It goes away after a few minutes though, dont worry.
Can I Bring My Own Paint?
Nope BOLP is FPO(field paint only). The only time you can bring your own paint is when we are having a BYOP(bring your own paint) day. If you purchsed paint from us and have some left at the end of the day, bring it back to the shop and we will reseal and mark the bag so that you can bring it back the next time you come play.
What Time Should I Arrive?
Most of the time the games start at 9am. If you are having a private party try to show up a bit early some time we can start the briefing early for you and be able to give you more game time. Also arriving really help you out if you have any questions or concerns you would like to go over with the refs.

How Long Do The Games Last?
Speed ball games are very short and no longer then 5-10 minutes. Woods game last a bit longer but most of the time are over within 15 minutes.
How Many Games Will We Play?
As many as you can get into. We try to keep a constant flow of games going so that you can jump into as many as you feel like playing. Most people get in around 6-8 games.
